I was reminded of this last night after dinner when the kids began to clear their plates. My husband said, "Wait guys! We have cake for dessert tonight so keep your forks." Their eyes lit up and they were excited by the surprise. After a full meal of, "Kids, eat your broccoli...finish your corn...Yes, you have to drink ALL of your milk..." it was nice to get to watch them enjoy their special treat as well.
As much as everyone seems to struggle these days and worry about things, it's also good to hold on in hopes that it will get better. No matter who you are, or what troubles you may happen to have, it's helpful to remember to "Keep your fork" and always hope for good things to come...and maybe a little slice of chocolate cake too.
