Happy 70th Birthday Dad

5/3/2015

Seventy years ago on this very day, a young mother was living in California.  Her husband was in the Navy and off to war, so she drove herself to the hospital, once she went into labor.
Upon arriving in the emergency parking lot, she had a contraction and crashed into another car.  Needless to say Dad, you literally came in with a bang.
Since that exciting entrance into this world, you've been the greatest example of how to live your life with humor, love and integrity.
You've taught me the importance of treating others with respect and compassion, and to cherish those who do the same in return.
You've raised me to be independent which is so important for a daughter to learn.  You've never wanted me to need anyone, but instead, taught me to take care of myself...get an education, a good job, pay my own bills and not to act like a princess...while still finding a man who would treat me like one.
You've been the greatest example of the importance of having a strong faith, a good family and the best of friends in this life.
The seventy years you've been on this earth have been nothing less than wonderful, but among the countless number of things you've accomplished, you've been only one thing to me...the best dad I could ever hope for.
Happy Birthday Dad. We Love You.

Happy Birthday, "Mr. Rogers"!!! You are one terrific person that I have had the pleasure and blessing to have been involved in my life. You picked the perfect profession because you influenced thousands of young lives in the best possible ways. I think of you often and of the lessons you taught me. I also remember when you were principal at N-Y and my daughter, Chrissy, just got her drivers licenses and while picking up some friends to drive to school got stuck in a ditch and they called you. Bless your heart you got right in your truck and went and pulled them out of the ditch. We still laugh about that today. Thank you for being the person you are. Sure do miss seeing you. God bless you and yours!!!

" No matter what you do, from garbage man to brain surgeon, be the best" I'll never forget that. I love history now. Wish I'd have been a better student. You're a goody.

Happy Birthay Mr. Rogers. I have such good memories. You made everyone feel like they were the most important person. I felt really important when I was home on leave & you had me come talk to your class, then you wrote a kind letter to my Commander which lead to a recognition at my Command Post. So even far away, you touched our lives with kindness. God Bless!!

Happy Birthday Mr. Rogers!!! You are the only teacher that taught me the correct format for writing an essay. That bit of information helped me many times throughout the years. I became a teacher, and just retired last year after 31 years. You were very influential in my decision to become a teacher. You had the perfect balance of business and fun in your classroom. I look back at the time I had you as a teacher with fondness. Enjoy your birthday!!! God Bless!!

Happy Birthday Mr. Rogers!! I hope it's a great one. I never had the honor of having you as a teacher but you were the greatest vice principal around but more importantly you did raise a wonderful human in Beatty.

Everyone is telling you great stories about how you affected their lives but let me tell you how you affected my life...through her.

My time at the school wasn't a pleasant one, not because of the teachers, staff or administration. I was bullied incessantly and have since, with age, gotten apologize from some. But Beatty, she never did. This one time in Mrs. Reinchenbach's class she came in to speak to her. She stood behind me the whole time and french braided my hair.....I don't know why, I really didn't care. I just know that it made me feel like I had someone at that school.

Ok done with the sappy stories.............thank you for being you.

Thinking it is light, ignorance is darkness, ignorance it was heresy for human and most contemptible are those who mistreat subordinates.
