When we got there, we literally stood in awe. Everything was covered in trampolines. The whole floor, the walls, everything. We turned the corner and there was a huge foam pit with even more trampolines leading into it.
HOW did we not know about this place and MAN do I wish we had something like this when we were kids!
The little ones could hardly wait until they were allowed to get on the "floor." When the time came, off they went. They flew from side to side and front to back. They were barely able to catch their breath from laughing so hard. Their smiling faces were beet red and covered with sweaty hair within about fifteen minutes flat. It was almost just as much fun to watch them.
They decided to try the foam pit so I went with them to see how it went. Each one jumped in and giggled as they flew into the sea of soft cubes. It got to the point that I couldn't stand it anymore and decided that I HAD to give it a try. I asked the person who monitored the pit if she minded as shook her head and smiled. The four kids stood on the edge of the pit and looked at me with confusion. "What are you going to do Mommy?! Do you know how to jump?!"
ouch. Really?! When did I get to be that old? Giving them a sly grin I suddenly decided to turn around facing backwards instead. I jumped straight into the air and did a back flip as high as I could. In all honesty, I didn't know if I would end up killing myself or not, but decided that it was worth a try for the sake of the cause. When I landed, (Thank You Lord) I smiled up at their little faces. You could have knocked all four of them over with a feather. Their jaws were wide open and each one of them looked like they just found out that their mom had superpowers.
Yes kids, even though your parents might be getting older, rest assured...you might just find out that there's still a little more "coolness" left in them too.
(Just don't tell them how much my back hurts now.)
