Maybe it was the fact that the whole store (from front to back) was decorated in Christmas trees. Red, green, twinkling, beautiful Christmas trees...have I mentioned that it's not Halloween yet?
Has it always been like this? Maybe I'm crazy but I remember as a kid being SO excited after Thanksgiving to start looking for the first signs of Christmas. The decorations, music, the magic of it all seemed to take forever until it arrived.
I guess it must work though, because there I was - standing at the register with Christmas toys for the kids...in October.
Maybe I'll make the most of it and look at it as planning ahead...yeah...that sounds good. I'm sure that just like everything else, it really is going to seem like no time at all before Christmas is actually here.
So Happy Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas since they all seem to be together now! May your days be Merry, Scary, Stuffing and Bright.
